ClientUI introduces UXDock, a hight performance docking navigation control with modern design and sleek animation. One of the most innovative features is the improved fluid background behavior where the dock's background will be automatically adjusted as the zooming process takes place.

MVVM-ready Architecture

UXDock is redesigned from the ground-up to take advantage of the latest technology in Silverlight such as flexible item styling and templating, data binding and commanding. UXDock is highly optimized for modern UI architecture such as Model-View-ViewModel design pattern, allowing you to consistently bind a collection of data and capture the selection without trading-off the stunning animations and other compelling features.

Built upon the ClientUI Framework, UXDock now supports ClientUI’s page navigation architecture, enabling you to create rich navigation user interface with the convenience of property sets. You can navigate a local XAML to a specific navigation target, or launch an external link in a new browser window.

Dock Customization

UXDock comprises of a multitude of customizable visual elements, such as the background layout, the control dimension, dock position, margin and more. These settings let you create a more personalized docking control that fits your application’s design and screen real estate.

Stack Position

UXDock’s innovative docking system includes the ability to dock to any side of the screen. All UXDock features automatically adapt to the new position, adjusting the zoom animation, item reflection, tooltip position, and other visual effects as needed.

Zoom Effect

UXDock has been further enhanced to produce a smooth zoom animation by taking full advantage of the latest Silverlight technology. As a result, the zooming process is more responsive than ever by removing unnecessary distortion to the adjacent buttons.

Drag-Drop Support

Powered by ClientUI’s comprehensive drag drop framework, UXDock provides solid drag and drop experience. It enables users to perform various drag drop operations, for instances, drag a stack item to reorder, drag a UXDock’s item to other droppable controls like UXAccordion. Dozens of customizations are available to deliver stunning drag-drop user experiences.

UXDock supports three background modes: Simple, Complex Images, and Custom. In Simple Mode, the background object is a rectangle you control through its properties. In Complex Images Mode, you specify three images used to form the background object of UXDock. In Custom Mode, you create a template object and simply attach it to UXDock’s background container.
